It all started in a small town in Cairo, Egypt - Al Bahnasa. Chef Sahar started by overseeing her mom in the kitchen which later transitioned from helping to taking responsibility to cook for a family of twelve lunch or dinner. After that everyone knew she was special, that she had a special touch and from there a reputation for her delicious food was initiated.

Sahar's husband was later invited to work in the United States. Sahar's initial thought of leaving what she had started was a tough thought. Her husband departed for a better opportunity and communicated the opportunities available in the United States. That helped install a hopeful feeling for Sahar, which later contributed in her decision to make the move as well. Sahar admits it was a great decision.
